Aman and N. Vidhya win men’s and women’s singles TT crowns

Mumbai, February 15: South Zone paddlers Aman Balgu and N. Vidhya claimed the men’s and women’s singles crowns in the table tennis event of the 49^th All India Central Revenue Sports Meet at Goregaon Sports Club on Wednesday.

In the men’s final, Aman Balgu defeated Sayan Paul of East Zone 4-2. Baglu  recovered well after losing the first two games as he went on to win the next four to clinch a 8-11,9- 11,11-9,11- 8,8-11, 8-11 victory.

In the women’s final, Vidhya outplayed Medha Moitra also from East Zone by a 4-1 margin with the game scores reading 11-2,10-12,11-4,12- 10,11-8.

Results (All finals) - Badminton – Womens Doubles 35+:  Leena /Sridevi bt Sukesh/Manju 2-0 (16-21, 21- 12, 21-13).

Men’s singles: Pallab Bose bt Nigel D’Sa 2-0 (18-21, 21-17, 21-17).

Women singles: Neha Pandit bt Riya Pillai 2-0 (22-20, 21- 7).

Women’s 35+ : Sridevi bt Sukesha 2-0 (21-3, 21- 11).

Table Tennis - Men’s singles: Aman Belgu (South Zone) bt Sayan Paul(East Zone) 4-2 (8-11,9- 11,11-9,11- 8,8-11,8- 11).

Women’s singles: N.Vidhya (South Zone) bt Medha Moitra (East Zone) 4-1 (11-2,10-12,11-4,12- 10,11-8).
