96th Birthday of Sri PVK (PV Krishnamoorthy) Sirs, 86th Birthday was celebrated with his old DDK friends and AIR friends. Every year DDK Chennai old friends group used to visit PVK Sir and celebrate his birthday in a simple get together. This year He himself hosted the party for all of us and had invited us.
Those who joined the celebrations are : Akila Sivaraman, EX DDK Chennai Director, Mahadevan, EX DDP, Chennai DDK, MS Perumaal, Programmer, Seetha Ratnakar, Programmer,Bhuvaneswari Chandrasekar, Programmer, S.R.Shankar, Cameraman, R.Venkatachalapathy, Cameraman, Mohan P Rao, Cameraman, Sailaja Mohan , Admin side. With us Thiruvengadam Sir from AIR, Madras Sudarshan, PEX, AIR, Chennai had also joined.As a guest Seethas sister from USA had also joined, with SR Shankars elder brother Venugopalan.
We had a wonderful evening and he shared his old memories with us. First day when he joined AIR how he was received with the first word as GET OUT, YOU CANT FIT IN TO THIS JOB and how he took it as a challenge and remained in AIR and later in Doordarshan and retired as DG Doordarshan etc. It was very nostalgic memories sharing.
The story is shared by Retd. Cameraman DDK Chennai Mohan P Rao, who joined his first service in Srinagar DDK, in 1973 when PVK Sir was the DG . Every year we DDK friends group of Chennai celebrate his birthday.
