Research Department of AIR & DD is 81 years today i.e. 01.04.2012. It has contributed to development of many technologies such as wow and flutter meter in 70's to telemetry systems, news room automation and many other relevant projects of recent times. The Department has been the face of AIR and Doordarshan on international platforms like European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Radio Communication Bureau (RCB) and has presented hundreds of papers in international journals and conferences. It is currently headed by Smt. Anuradha Agarwal, ADG.
