Richfeel and Nargis Dutt Foundation mark the success of their joint initiative ‘My Hair for Cancer’

The 'My Hair For Cancer' event which was held yesterday, 18th April at Taj Lands End, Bandra was indeed an emotional and beautiful event. Manisha Koirala who herself had once been a cancer survivor shared some motivational experience with the cancer patients.
There was definitely more to the event, where Manisha was asked about her role in upcoming Sanjay Dutt's biopic. Manisha is playing the role of Nargis Dutt in the film and has finalised a couple of look tests for the same.
Manaisha Koirala is extremely excited and kicked about the role and also mentioned to Priya Dutt that she would like to know more about Nargis Dutt from her.The fear of Cancer is not just the fear of the disease. It is also the fear of losing one’s hair to the treatment. ‘My Hair for Cancer’ is a joint initiative by RichFeel, India's leading hair care experts and the NargisDutt Foundation to help those who have lost their hair to Cancer treatment. Richfeel is uniquely qualified for this initiative since Dr. Apoorva Shah & Dr. Sonal Shah of RichFeel, the premier Trichologists in India, have a deep understanding of what hair loss can do to the psyche of a person whose resolve is already under pressure, fighting the affliction
Launched on World Cancer Day, February 4, 2017, calls upon all of us to donate hair, while also stressing on regular cancer screening. Already, nearly a thousand volunteers have donated hair, with which RichFeel makes hair systems for Cancer patients. The Nargis Dutt Foundation, helmed by Ms. Priya Dutt, gets these systems to Cancer patients
This success was celebrated with an event at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai on April 18, 2017.The event felicitated 3'Unbeatables' - patients who have beaten Cancer. RichFeel and the Nargis Dutt foundation hope to bring more Cancer patients and volunteers into the fold
Dr. Apoorva Shah, Founder - Richfeel commented,“Most Cancer victims also fear the hair loss due to the treatment. They feel they will lose their looks and therefore, lose confidence.  ‘My Hair for Cancer’ has managed to alleviate this fear by providing hair systems to Cancer patients and has encouraged many to join the cause of early cancer detection.
Adding her sentiments, Priya Dutt, Trustee – Nargis Dutt Foundation, said, “While there are several screening centres across India, many individuals delay check-up, until it’s too late. I’m glad that the ‘My Hair for Cancer’ initiative has created awareness in many people for early cancer screening while also addressing the concern of losing one’s hair to cancer treatment.”
Sharing her views, Manisha Koirala, Actor, cancer survivor & UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, said, “As a cancer survivor, I know how difficult it is to get one’s life back on track after Cancer. Initiatives like this set an excellent example by encouraging the populace to sympathise with Cancer patients and also to get themselves screened for cancer. I’m happy for the success of this campaign.
