The showman of Bollywood Subhash Ghai and the GOD of soulful music A R Rahman had 18years back given audiences a musical treat with the block buster film ‘TAAL’. Starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Akshay Khanna in the lead, the film was one of the most extravagant musical and visual film which had then created a rage. Celebrating these joyful years of this classic cult movie, the director and musician will be seen together at ‘Taal’ special screening on 9th April at the newly refurbished- New Excelsior Mukta A2 Cinemas in Fort, Mumbai.
Under the guidance of Subhash Ghai, India’s most successful Producer-Director, Mukta Arts has delivered some of the finest cult classic movies in the 90’s from Karz’, ‘Hero’, Karma’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Saudagar’, ‘Khalnayak’ to Pardes’, ‘Taal’ and ‘Yaadein’. ‘Taal’, was the first Indian film to enter the US top 20 box office grossers list in 1999. ‘Taal’ was also the first film to get film insurance in India and the policy is named after the company – The Cine-Mukta policy.
The special screening of Taal at New Excelsior Mukta A2 will bring many talented artists together like lengend musican A R Rahman, ace choreographer Shiamak Davar, singer Sukhwinder Singh and the showman himself Mr. Subhash Ghai. The team will be seen interacting with the media and audiences and will revive their fond memories during the making of the magical film TAAL.
