New Delhi, April 5, 2017: PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship Season 3 continued on 3rd day with action-packed encounters between the participants at the Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi. The tournament is being organized by Sara Foundation (an organisation for the promotion of sports).In the Boys Singles U-13 category of PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship Season 3, top seed Chirag Khatri defeated unseeded Chirag Choudhary in straight sets 15-10, 15-5. In another match, Under-9 national winner from JBC Season 2 Neer Nehwal (5th seed) breezed past Manav Khatri in straight sets with scores 15-3, 15-2.
In the Girls Singles U-15 category, top seed Sneha Rajwar dominated the straight set match against Tanisha Khari with scores 15-2, 15-2. In another encounter in the same category, second seed Aashi Rawat defeated Jiya Rawat with scores 15-12, 15-8. In a nail biting finish, Anna Phogat came back after losing the first set against Palak Arora and emerged victorious with scores 5-15, 15-14, 15-13.
