Aspiring filmmaker’s should seize the chance provided by Fame-istan says ace director, Homi Adajania

The silver screen and its charm have enamored quite a few over the years. However, in this rat race of making it to the big screen, a few daredevils have had the guts to take the plunge by daring to do something unique and venturing into making short films. Short films were quite a fad then and they are soon turning into a trend. However, not a lot of people out there know about the technicalities that go into making a short film and the effort a director takes to impress the audience within a short span of time. MTV and HP have taken up the ownership of helping 4 aspiring filmmakers live their dream of making short films and being mentored by top- guns in the Indian film industry through their latest venture HP MTV Fame-istan. Each month a film mentor will introduce the director of the month. The director will then feature in a call-for-entry promo that will call out to actors and people who want to be a part of their short film. Post the shoot of the film, the film mentor will give their verdict of the film. The third mentor who will be guiding young filmmakers and helping them hone their skill is ace filmmaker, Homi Adajania.
Commenting on his stint at mentoring young directors, Filmmaker,Homi Adajania, said, “Several independent film-makers find filmmaking a far-fetched dream. Now HP MTV Fame-istan is providing them with the opportunity and better still, the freedom to make films and earn a living out of it. When I first started off, such platforms didn’t even exist. Aspiring filmmaker’s should seize this chance and realize that today film-making isn’t unrealistic, it’s an opportunity knocking on their door.
