Sanjay Patel's Union Leader showcases unfortunate situation of chemical pant workers who get trapped and become victims of poor health and safety standards.
The director, who has experienced firsthand the critical nature of this issue that impacts millions of workers around the globe, feels laws pertaining to workers' safety and its' implementation is poor in India.
When asked him if India needs to focus on Industrial safety, he says, "Absolutely, no question about it. We’ve rules and regulations including stringent safety laws in India but its implementation is very poor. Corrupt system and lack of awareness among workers are some of the additional challenges that aggravate the problem."
