Makers of "My Birthday Song" are releasing the music of the awaited film independently. The title track of film has been released today.
Sanjay & Samir derived a unique strategy saying, " All the song videos will be released on Facebook exclusively for a day and then on other platforms. After understanding our audience base using analytics as a tool since we wanted to go more targeted than generic, we took this decision. The song videos will be released on all other platforms the following day. "
Director Samir Soni says, "To me the music of the film was one of the most important aspects of the film. I wasn’t looking for “hit” music but “right” music. The music that captures and enhances the essence of the scenes and not distract or stalls the moment. Since the film is a psychological thriller all the songs have a hypnotic and haunting feel to it which lingers on and that's what i was looking for. And it also reflects my taste in music which is more blues rock with extended use of guitar leads. Influences being from Eric Clapton, Dire Straits to Red hot chilly peppers. Born again I rather be a musician than an actor. One of the things I’m most proud of is the music of our Film My Birthday Song."
Rajeev Bhalla, composer of title track 'My Birthday Song,' says, 'Sanjay introduced me to Samir. Both Samir and Sanjay are extreme music lovers. Their brief was bang ON and when you are surrounded with inspiring people and great minds, good work automatically flows. This is a special song as it's more like an anthem for the film. Rarely you get a chance to compose and sing an indie-rock track for a Hindi Film. I call it my #SoulRock song."
My Birthday Song, a psychological thriller, written & directed by Samir Soni, features Sanjay Suri, Nora Fatehi & Miss India Australia Zenia Starr in lead roles. Produced by Sanjay Suri & Samir Soni, under the banner of KAHWA Entertainment and is slated to release on 19th January, 2018.
