● In its first-ever movie integration, Indeed highlights the importance of discrimination-free job search
Bengaluru, January 29, 2018: Indeed, the world’s no. 1 job site, has partnered with Yash Raj Films (YRF), India’s leading movie production house, for their forthcoming film ‘Hichki’, starring acclaimed award winning actress Rani Mukerji in the lead role. The first movie integration by the company, the film incorporates Indeed as a plot element, a catalyst that spurs the protagonist onwards towards her goal to find her dream job.
One of the most eagerly awaited movies from YRF this year, Hichki stars Rani Mukerji in the role of an individual who suffers from Tourette Syndrome, a nervous system disorder, yet makes a successful career for herself despite all odds. The film, which celebrates self-belief and the resilience of the human spirit, is about turning disadvantages into opportunities and staring down at challenges, ultimately winning over them.
Indeed, as a facilitator of the right job match for job seekers worldwide, too plays a significant role in this inspiring and uplifting narrative. As we follow the lead character on her journey in the film, we see that she finds the job she wants through the Indeed portal – true to their mission “We help people get jobs”. Indeed aims to resonate with the mindspace of the youth of today, who are socially conscious and collectively focused towards moving forward as a nation, towards employment and towards the vision for a new India.
Speaking about her role, Mrs. Rani Mukerji said, “Each of us has a hiccup in life that pulls us back. Hichki centres around this positive premise and my character sends across this very message to the audience – she doesn’t let her disability come in the way of achieving her dreams.”

YRF’s Hichki has been directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma. The film is to release on February 23, 2018. Hichki will be Maneesh Sharma’s third film as a producer with Yash Raj Films after Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Meri Pyaari Bindu.
