Shri. Jayprakash M. Singh, AE, HPT Malad retired on 31st August 2019 after successful service of 35 years. He joined at All India Radio, VBS Mumbai in 1984 as Engineering Assistant. in 1990 he got promotion of SEA and joined at HPT Malad & 1994 he was promoted as Assistant Engineer at HPT Malad only. He also served at AIR Kohima, Nagaland from 2006 to 2010.
Mr. J. M. Singh was a dedicated hardcore Arteeian [a veteran leader of Association of Radio & Television Engineering Employees]. Three times he was elected as Vice President, ARTEE in West Zone. During his tenure he worked hard to build ARTEE in West Zone. Under his leadership two times CWC meeting was organised in Mumbai & More than Two successful National/State conventions were organised in Mumbai & West Zone. He has done lots of welfare activities for ARTEE members. He helped many members to manage their transfers specially on medical ground. He also helped needy peoples not only in west zone but from All over India in medical cases. He was also appointed as "Area Welfare officer" by Ministry of Pension & Welfare.
One of cancer patient need a rear group blood at Hydrabad. When Mr. J. M. Singh came to know about this news he immediately rushed and arranged the rare group blood & through his personal network, he has arranged to send it to Hydrabad by flight within no time. The timely help of blood saved the life of patient.
In another case one of the terminated cancer patient who was relative of Assistant Engineer AIR Guwahati came to Kokilaben Hospital Mumbai for treatment. Mr. K. S. Lakhne, AE ADG WZ told Mr. Singh about this case. As per doctor he required 22 bottles of blood (Platelets) immediately. Mr. J. M. Singh and his son Mr. Sandeep Singh activated their network through "Pharmaceutical Association" and arranged 22 bottles of Platelets. Now the patient is fully recovered and out of danger living normal life with his family members.
Very close relative of Mr. Suresh, EA from HPT Bambolim, Goa who was living at Palaghat, Kerala was serious due to cancer. Dr. from Trivendram Hospital told family member that presently there is no medicine in Indian market to save her life. Only one medicine can save her life but it is under research and can be released only with recommendation of either President of India or Prime Minister of India. When we in Mumbai came to know about this case we contacted Mr. J. M. Singh and asked for help. He said, "Chinta mat karo kutch na kutck karte hai." He immediately contacted Mr. L. B. Patil, EA, AIR BH & AGS (AIR) Artee WZ, who has lots of political contacts. Mr. L. B. Patil through his network contacted MR. Manohar Joshi, then Loksabha Speaker and got the recommendation letter from him that, "I know the patient personally and this medicine under research is required to save her life and may please be release the required quantity of dose". Mr. J. M. Singh immediately took a first flight to Delhi and went to "Drugs controller General of India". He has given special permission to the pharmaceutical company to release the required dose of under research medicine and that medicine saved the life of Suresh's Aunty. We have no words to express our gratitude for Mr. J. M. Singh for his selfless services to this mankind.
At the same time we cannot ignore selfless support from family members (Mrs. Geeta Singh - wife, Sandeep Singh - son & Priyanka Singh - daughter) of Mr. J. M. Singh, without their support it is highly impossible for him to achieve these goals.
Mr. J. M. Singh has awarded the post of "Area Welfare Officer". He has done lots of social activities under the banner of "AWO" He did rainwater harvesting to save water at AIR HPT Malad & AIR Kohima. He has organised several "Yoga Camps" at various AIR complexes. He has done lot of work though out his service in the field of "Tree Plantation". He not only planted the trees but he assured that all the planted trees should be taken proper care till it grows properly.
Mr. J. M. Singh's social work was acknowledged at various platforms up to PMO office and he has been rewarded by many awards during his service like..
1. He has received "Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam peace Award" 2019 on 27 July 2019 by People Forum of India Bharat Sevak Samaj.
2. Received "Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award 2019" on 22nd June 2019 by International Achievers Council.
3. Received "Vriksha Mitra Award" on 5th June 2019 from Nisarga Sewa Samiti (NSS), Government of India Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Vriksha Mitra Awardee.
4. Received "Rashtriya Gaurav Samman 2018" National Award in November 2018.
5. Received 'Rashtriya Pratibha Samman 2018" National Award in November 2018.
Special appointments and achievements -
1. Area Welfare Officer (A.W.O.) Central Government Nominee w. e. f. 2013 onwards also worked in Kohima Nagaland.
2. Appointed as "Nodal Officer by District Collector Office", State Govt. of Maharastra for special time bound and Target Tree Plantation Drive.
3. Member of "Internal Complaint Council" (ICC) for Women Welfare.
4. Arranged more than 50 Government enquiries to solve disputes in Central Government Colonies as an Area Welfare Officer.
5. Founder member & Chief Promoter of HPT Akashwani Employees Co-op Credit Society Ltd.
