DASARA PROCESSION (JAMBOO SAVARI ON 08.10.2019) :All India Radio, Mysuru carried out extensive live coverage of Mysuru Dasara Procession (Jamboo Savari) on 8th October 2019 which was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri. Yediyurappa who offered flowers to Godess Chamundeshwari in the Golden Howda carried by the Famous Elephant named Arjuna.
About 39 tableaux indicating social issues were there before the Golden Howda and the procession went on to Bannimantap for about 5 kilometers from Mysuru Palace. In Bannimantap Torchparade was held in the evening before conclusion of Dasara. Lakhs of People participated in this procession.
All India Radio, Mysuru broadcast live commentary on this national historical event relayed simultaneously by all the 13 stations of Karnataka.
