AIR should Switch to Modern Means to Reach Maximum Audience: Haji Anayat In Jammu and Kashmir, All India Radio Kargil is doing a Tremendous Job in disseminating information, News and Entertainment upto the remotest areas of the district which helps in making people aware about the day to day development in other parts of the world as well as in Kargil.This was stated by Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali during a function of inaugurating the Fruit Plantation Drive of all India Radio Kargil by planting a Sapling of Apricot in the campus at 200 Kw HPT Kurbathang.
Appreciating the team of Mukesh Kumar, Haji Anayat Ali told that AIR should switch to other modern modes like Live Streaming the Programmes on Internet, developing Android Radio and FM Stations which will enhance the reach of the station upto maximum audience.He further told that he has taken the matter for constructing Programme Generating Facility to start DD Kargil with the Ministry of Information Broadcasting for which land is already available and hope for a positive response.He also told that earlier people in Kargil used to Listen Radio Skardu which was totally replaced by Radio Kargil and has become the voice of People in this frontier district.
A total of 400 fruit plants including 200 Hybrid Apple and 200 Apricot saplings has been planted at 200 Kw HPT and AIR Campus at Baroo.On this occasion Deputy Director General AIR Kargil Mukesh Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Kacho Turab Shah, Programme Head AIR Kargil Sonam Angchuk, ARTO Kargil Khadim Hussain and Staff of All India Radio Kargil were also present.While talking on this occasion DDG AIR Kargil Mukesh Kumar told that keeping in view the fragile topography and environment in Ladakh AIR is trying its best to go Green and for which the Plantation Drive was started.
He informed that Plantation in other substation of AIR Has also been done and to replace the use of DG Sets and to reduce Carbon Emission, AIR has ordered for Green Energy in the form of Solar SPVs and Solar Water Heaters.He further told that proposal for 1 Mega wat Solar SPV for 200 Kw HPT Kat Kurbathang is also in pipeline.
