About Music For A Cause Initiative:-
Lately we’ve come across concerts & tours being backed by bigger causes which have become a famous trend today. Similar to the Global Citizen Festival (Cold Play tour to India) & the recent purpose tour by Justin Bieber. Take007.com in association with Cancer Patient Aid Association (CPAA) has launched its “Music For A Cause Initiative”, which is to create a digital campaign to spread the message of a tobacco free nation. (A build up for the World No Tobacco Day on 31stMay 2017)
Take007 came up with a talent hunt wherein the best aspiring singers of all age groups participated by sending in their entries. Out of over 1000+ entries that came in, 15 best entries were selected that would get a chance to participate in the “Music for a cause – Talent Hunt”.
The purpose of the campaign is not only to find & gratify the best singing talent but to also create an online drive for a social cause which is of a tobacco free nation through Music!  Hence, the 15 finalists are competing with each other by getting maximum shares, likes & comments on their respective singing videos on take007’s Facebook Page, the winners of this competition will be declared only on the basis of the their video views. Top 3 highest viewed videos will get a chance of being felicitated on World No Tobacco Day which is celebrated in a BIG way at Rangsharda Auditorium, Bandra (W) on 31st May by a musical evening curated by none other than Salim – Sulaiman.
The top 15 finalist have collectively gathered over 65k views on their videos with over 2L reach on facebook from the time the campaign began i.e. 8th May, a few contestants have also taken on to tweeting their video which has been re-tweeted by celebrities from the bollywood fraternity like Karan Johar, Rajkumar Rao, Gautam Gulati & Pia Bajpai. We still have 20 days left for the campaign to reach larger heights in order to gain maximum awareness for the cause!
