National, 19 April, 2018: 93.5 RED FM the most awarded and largest private radio network was honoured with 2 Excellence and 16 other awards in different categories at the Golden Mikes Radio Advertising awards ceremony 2018. The awards took place at Hard Rock Cafe, Worli, Mumbai, on the 19th April Thursday. Golden Mikes Awards completed its 8th year celebrating the best of radio ads seen in India, across radio channels, from every part of the country.

Red FM emerged as the Radio Station of the Year with 6 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze metals. It won gold in creativity, effectiveness and innovation categories for ‘Mumbai Khadde Mein’. RJ Malishka Mendonsa’s winning streak continued as she again won RJ of the Year award.Ek NO. Wall and The Headphone Show on 26/11 was awarded for the Best Innovation on Radio. Ek NO. Wall was also awarded for Most Unique Programming Concepts and idea. Pad Habit and RED FM PAKKA HYDERABADI won Best On Air Promotion by a Single Radio Station (not sponsored). RED FM Kabaad Se Jugaad won the Best On Ground by a Single Radio Station (not sponsored). Best Internet Radio Promotion for Self was awarded to RJ Raunac’s Social Experiment Videos, Gumshuda Zebra Crossing (Kolkata), Selfiechee Tu (Redtro FM), Ilaka Rap (Kolkata). RED FM was also awarded the Best Public Service Initiative by a broadcaster for HAPPY NEW EAR.Sonu POTHOLE Mix won for Best Public Service Initiative by a broadcaster, Malishka Ko Matt Sunn won for Most Unique Programming Concepts and idea.
The Golden Mikes Radio Advertising also acknowledge the contribution of advertising agencies, media agencies, clients, radio stations, production houses and others to the growth of the medium in the country.
