LONDON — The defections of top-rated BBC Two radio morning show host Chris Evans and BBC Radio 4 news host Eddie Mair to privately-owned Virgin Radio and LBC respectively, signal that the BBC is losing its status as the United Kingdom's top radio platform.
Thomas Falconer, radio industry researcher at IBISWorld, a market research firm with offices around the globe, attributes the BBC's declining status to changes within the UK's radio industry; both outside of and within the public broadcaster.
According to Falconer, BBC Radio's greatest undoing has been the U.K.'s transition to digital radio and the wealth of new content options the medium is offering U.K. listeners.

Showstopper Nidhi Aggarwal pepped up the runway in her flirty and fun ensemble.Standing Ovation for designers Bhavana Pandey and Dolly Sidhwani . A break at the Corona Sundowner Session was apt before the next set of shows, as everyone let their hair down and enjoyed the world class music. Ken Ferns with his Love Laugh Live collection curated for Romedy NOW won the hearts of the audience. A happy collection, it epitomized the feeling of living life to the fullest. A self-confessed Goan at heart, his connection with the destination showed through with his bright colours and fluid garments. Flirty and fun, this wearable collection is certainly a ramp to rack one. Showstopper Gauhar Khan oozed attitude, as she walked the ramp in a svelte ensemble. A fitting finale, Vikram Phadnis ruled the ramp with his showcase of his couture line, Destination Bride. It was destination wedding wear, in greys, blues and greens, colours of the sea and the sky. A collection inspired by nature, with embroidery in zardozi, kundan and pearl, there were sarees, shararas and lehengas, understated and chic. Showstopper Kiara Advani was resplendent in a stunning maroon creation. Signing off the Como India Beach Fashion Week with his glamorous finishing touch, his flawless mastery was a given with this much anticipated jewel toned extravaganza. Other designers who showcased their collections on day 3 areHitesh Punamiya, BhavikaBokadia, Ocean Jasper, AditiBhalerao, SrikanthManolla, MeghnaPatankar and Eliferous, We also had the Creator Institute of Designer showcase the collections of their talented student designers. PallavOjha, Chief Innovation Officer and Co-Founder, COMO India Beach Fashion Week, said ‘It has been our consistent endeavour to bring world class beach andresort wear, destination wedding wear to an Indian platform. I am happy to say, we have received a tremendously heartening response from the fashion fraternity which has made this successful 5th season of a one of its kind India Beach Fashion Week possible.” All headed in one direction-to the ballroom at the Goa Marriot Resort and Spa, for the COMO Grand Finale Party, that carried on into the wee hours and had everyone already asking about the next season of the highly successful and much loved IBFW
