Six budding talents who participated in AIR Music Competition from AIR Thiruvananthapuram were declared winners, in various categories. The prize distribution function was held in the premises of the station on 21/3/2019, Thursday. The day was chosen being the birth anniversary of Usthad Bismillah Khan, the legendary Shehanai maestro. Sri.RVimalasenan Nair, Station Director presided over the function and delivered the key note address. Prizes were given away by noted Karnatic Musician and Playback singer, Sri.Kavalam Sreekumar, who incidentally was former AD (P), at this station. The winners, M.Reshma (Karnatic Devotional 1st), S.S.Revathi Nath, Divyanjana (Folk 1st & 2nd respectively)N.J. Pooja(Light Music 1st), H.Aravind(Karnatic Instrumental Violin 2nd) & S.P.Devanand(Western Vocal 2nd ) enthralled the gathering with their brilliant performances in the respective events.
