Current Indian film industry scenario where films are made every quarter, released and forgotten we don't really expect from the audiences that if the film story have a history they should know about it or we don't have hopes that the audiences would create and emotion from the film.
However, before even Tigmanshu Dhulia's Raag desh was going on floor he got an amazing response to a dipstick he had put through people about the story base of Raag desh i.e Indian National Army.
Tigmanshu's team went out amongst people and asked if they were aware of what happened during INA trials of Red Fort, to his surprise a bunch of people came out and spoke about it.
They were then asked to come out for a placard campaign and write out whatever they knew.
A bunch of people spoke of the facts that Tigmanshu himself have gotten after a good research, this was a sheer moral boost for him and gave him a good kickstart for the project.
