The single Sets Spotify Global First-Day Record With 8 Million Streams
Taylor Swift's new single which premiered at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday broke VEVO's 24 hour record. This is the first official song from her album ‘Reputation’ and it has already crossed 30 million views on YouTube.
According to VEVO, the song has been watched 1.5 million times every hour. Previously Adele'sHello had set the record with 27.7 million views in a day.
Among other records, Look What You Made Me Do also set Spotify's Global first day record with 8 million streams on its date of release. The lyric video topped YouTube's record for the most viewed lyric video in 24 hours, with more than 19 million views. The song is also competing to be seen in the next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart in the top 10.
The album Reputation is set to release on November 10, 2017.
