The young and talented actress Aahana Kumra, who gave an outstanding performance in her recently hit film Lipstick Under My Burka is receiving accolades and appreciations till today. In spite of being a star studded film which had veteran actors like Ratna Pathak Shah and Konkana Sen Sharma, Aahana Kumra grabbed immense attention from the audience for her realistic performance.
The vivacious girl, who started her journey as a theatre student under the guidance of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, is currently working with him in a play titled ‘The Father’ which has already got a houseful response from the audiences. On the occasion of teacher’s day, the fine actress shared that how Naseeruddin Shah has made a huge impact in her life. The actress started her passion for acting at a young age by involving herself with Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai where she eventually realized that stage was her first love. She soon became a student of Naseeruddin Shah in 2006 and in just span of three years, the actress worked with her mentor Naseeruddin Shah in his group Motley. Ever since then her bonding with the actor was unbreakable as she not only was directed by him but also with time he became an adviser and mentor for life.
Talking about the bonding she shares with the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, the gorgeous actress Aahana Kumra said, “Naseeruddin Sir has a huge role to play in my career, he is that mentor who I go to whenever I am in doubt. I have shared screen space with him in my first Indie film but I would love to share space with him again. He is a phenomenal actor with so much of zeal towards cinema that every time when I am around him I have so much to learn. Sharing big screen space with Naseer Sir again will be like a dream come true."
Interestingly aahana has also worked with mr Amitabh Bachchan and in a span of a year of working with him she learnt that despite being such a big star he's extremely humble! She learnt very early from both Naseeruddin Shah and Amitabh Bachchan that no matter your age or stardom the only thing that everyone will remember you for is your work!
