One of the most awaited cultural festivals of the Mumbai youth circuit, Mithibai Kshitij is right around the corner with all the glitz and glamour. Sweeping the city into celebration, bringing fantasies into the city of dreams, and bringing with it a huge platform for the youth of India, this inter-collegiate festival hosted by Mithibai college in its eleventh year since it was revived. It is bound to be grander than before with its promises of endless craziness and triumph.
Covering a multitude of themes, this year, owing to the rich heritage and history of our country, Mithibai Kshitij has decided to keep the theme as ‘India - A Divine Abode’. This year’s theme supports the vision of a vivacious and vibrant India. Acknowledged worldwide for its diverse culture and splendid advances in a number of fields, India has left a benchmark in every realm of success.
The Principal of Mithibai college, Dr.RajpalShripatHande quotes ‘’The annual international intercollegiate festival of Mithibai College, Kshitij is a unique festival for the students, by the students. Mithibai Kshitij has always been associated with the star cast of major Bollywood movies. Movies like Brothers, Shaandar and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil were launched with Mithibai Kshitij which just added to the glamor. Along with all the dazzling shine Mithibai Kshitij presents beautiful and interesting themes to engage the audience with a magical aura.
The cultural convener, Prof.Shripad Sir has few words to say about the festival, “ MithibaiKshitij receives international entries and international pronite artist which is a stupendous achievement. A festival which Bollywood considers to be almost a second home."
There are twenty departments which handle and conduct events in various categories. The Departments include Literary arts, Performing arts, Hospitality, Management events, Security, Public Relations, Logistics, Fine Arts, Gaming and Sports, Informals and many more. With a spirit of competitiveness and determination, hundreds of college participate against each other to stand a class apart on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th of Decemebr, 2017.
The Kshitij cheer will sound louder than ever when hundreds of colleges gather for fun filled days of events. The preparation for the upcoming festival has begun in full swing. Mithibai Kshitij is ready to light up Mumbai’s skyline and to leave a mark on the city.
