Blog Team felicitates Prasad for contributing 600 posts in a year

Prasar Bharati parivar blog volunteers met at AIR, Pune on 16th October 2017 to review the blog activities. The meeting started by felicitation of Shri Prasad Karadkar, EA, AIR, Pune who has volunteered lot of his time in composing and posting 600 posts in a year. He was felicitated with a bouquet by the hands of Smt. Sangeeta Upadhye, ADE and Administrator of blog.

At the outset, Shri Ashish Bhatnagar, DDG(E), AIR expressed that - All good things must come to an End & Is it time to close this activity? He emphasized that it is a voluntary additional activity without any financial or personal rewards and hence the blog volunteers should never hesitate in choosing an exit route. Many of them have already invested hundreds of hours for this social activity without complaining about non participation/non contribution from others. He also remembered the vital contributions made by Smt. Neha Khare, Prashat Pehekar, Yogesh Hoshing, Prabhakar Varshney, Karunashankar Dubey etc who in past contributed to the blog activity. He also admired the efforts of the current team and told that it is their untiring efforts, which has made the blog so popular (around 24 lakh pageviews)

In the brain storming session which ran for almost two hours, the blog volunteers decided to continue the blog activity for some more time and strengthen it by writing to other Prasar Bharati blog members requesting them to volunteer their time for this social cause and contribute for the Prasar Bharati parivar blog.

Prasar Bharati parivar blog is an informal platform to share personal/family achievements and positiveness amongst working and retired AIR and Doordarshan employees. This is a voluntary activity carried out by handful retired and working employees belonging to various levels and disciplines.
