Christopher Nolan takes us on a behind-the-scenes journey of his upcoming film Dunkirk

Watching a movie in an IMAX theatre is a holistic experience that transports you to a different world. With every new film that is released in the IMAX format, there is a new world that is opened up to the viewers. Following his use of IMAX cameras in The Dark KnightThe Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar, Christopher Nolan designed his next film Dunkirk for IMAX, to provide viewers an unforgettable and unparalleled cinematic experience.
Ahead of the upcoming release of ‘Dunkirk’ on July 21st, IMAX released a special Behind-The-Frame featurette with never-before-seen footage and commentary from Director Christopher Nolan, Director of Photography Hoyte Van Hoytema, Producer Emma Thomas and Editor Lee Smith. In the featurette, we hear about how the team has pushed the limits of what’s possible using IMAX’s 15perf 65m film cameras, the highest-resolution cameras in the world at 18k resolution, on land, air and in the sea to create this experience for the audiences. Scenes shot with this camera will expand to fill the entire screen, allowing moviegoers to see up to 40% more of the image with unprecedented crispness, clarity and colour saturation for a truly immersive experience.
“The immersive quality of the image is second to none. We really try and create the sensation that I would describe as a virtual reality without the goggles.” says Christopher Nolan, Director
Promising to be a must-watch, the film releases on 21st July in India.
