TELUGU MEGASTAR SHRI PAWAN KALYAN CELEBRATES THE ‘FORMATION DAY’ OF JANASENA

Wednesday, March 14, Andhra Pradesh: Four years ago, on March 14 2014, the Telugu film industry’s biggest megastar, Shri Pawan Kalyan, formed his political party, JanaSena.

As a leader, Shri Pawan Kalyan swayed the masses in the 2014 elections, without contesting for a single seat and yet commanded from the masses the deep respect that was instrumental in deciding the final election result.

The JanaSena party was founded by Shri Pawan Kalyan on the sound principles of justice and fairness in keeping with the age- old Indian ethos and unbroken chain of knowledge and traditions of this great land. The party is active in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Born into an ordinary lower-middle class family, Shri Pawan Kalyan represents a beautiful, charismatic and moral capacity to transcend the stereotypes associated with political leadership. His powerful connect with the ordinary Indian, his undying and ever-increasing followers of all ages, his everyday interaction with his followers, friends and colleagues, his erudition that places him among the highest of scholars, his humility and extraordinary commitment to public morality are features of a great leader in the making.

Speaking on his political journey so far, Shri Kalyan states, “I am an Indian first and an Indian last. My country calls me to serve and I will serve. The nation needs committed individuals to come to the fore. Instead of asking others to do it, I decided to walk that path myself. My political journey is a lifelong journey. I did not enter politics to grab political opportunity but to serve society and guard the public’s interest. I am a man for the people, of the people and by the people.”

Objectives & missions of the party

In the immediacy of the current political situation in Andhra Pradesh, the JanaSena under the leadership of Shri Pawan Kalyan wants to fight for the Special Status Category for Andhra Pradesh. As a stable aim for gaining and giving political solidity, Shri Kalyan envisions to bring back the focus of ethical politics onto centre stage. He wants to work to give voice to the voiceless and oppressed. He wants to embody the founding principles of the JanaSena and wants the vast populace that is following the party to understand and embrace the principles and bury behind us those discriminating and divisive politics that bring about a destabilising tension in the society. He wants to bring fresh youthful participation in politics so that the uncorrupted young take on the tainted systems and democratic processes of our polity. Speaking on this, Shri Kalyan maintains, “Andhra Pradesh is reeling under the mistakes of its representatives and the powers that be. Our objective is to correct it. Make people the priority, not power.”

The vision ahead

Shri Pawan Kalyan wants to unite people for a common cause. When development, welfare of society, principles and political morality are all taking a backseat, he wants to bring the focus of society back on to ethical and reformative politics in order to benefit people without discriminating between one group and another. He wants to inspire people, by example, to stand steadfast for principled politics, which are fair and reformative in nature. He will do what is necessary for people within the confines of an ethical and moral boundary. As Shri Kalyan says, “JanaSena does not aim for power but to question political parties and leaders. JanaSena’s aim is to do good – with or without assuming political power.”
