Algeria going for DRM

During a seminar on digital TV and radio on 26th March'17, a DRM trial also took place in order to promote the standard. The Minister of Communication and the Minister of Industry attended this event together with all local manufacturers. As explained by Dr Sahnine Chawki, General Director of TDA, the Algerian public broadcaster, the aim was to promote local manufacturing in order to switch to DRM. The trial was on 891 kHz

Algerian National Radio's DRM tests on 891 kHz was observed by several listeners, two stereo channels plus journaline.
