Music and comedy enthusiasts gear up for an all new live platform from RED FM, bringing the two art forms together, across 6 cities in India
8th July, 2017, National: Red FM, India’s leading FM network announced the dates for its new IP‘Musicom’.
After Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Kolkata, the event will take place on 12th August at St. John’s Auditorium in Bangalore.This format will give the audience a taste of their favorite musicians combined with the humor factor provided by the comedian(s). Kick-starting this new initiative will be one of India’s greatest music bands – Indian Ocean and the rising stars of satirical humor – Aisi Taisi Democracy. The tickets are very attractively priced between INR 750-1500. The tickets are live on Bookmyshow and Insider.
Commenting on the announcement, Nisha Narayanan, Red FM COO said, “We are very excited to bring this format of live music and stand-up comedy together under our IP ‘MusiCom’. Indian Ocean – One of the most widely respected bands in India, Indian Ocean have built a cult following for themselves. They have spanned over two decades and have developed their fan following with their unique sound. Indian Ocean’s music can be described as an amalgamation of contemporary rock, Indian classical, Jazz, Folk music and Fusion. They were the first Indian band on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. They have composed music for movies like Black Friday, Peepli Live, Masaan, Mumbai Cutting, Swaraj, Hulla, Bhoomi, Katiyabaaz and Satyagraha.
Aisi Taisi Democracy – Sanjay Rajoura, a stand-up comedian and social-satirist has joined hands with writer and lyricist Varun Grover, and Indian Ocean’s Vocalist and Bassist ( or no descriptor) Rahul Ram. They are well-informed and knowledgeable on the political scenario of the country. Their vibe on stage is that of three friends sharing stories, pulling each other's leg, whilst delivering content that is bound to make you think and bring a smile to your face.
Artist Rahul Ram who is the common link between both Indian Ocean as well as Aisi Taisi Democracy added, “I am really excited that Red FM’s MusiCom is bringing together Indian Ocean and Aisi Taisi Democracy to the same stage for the first time. Since I am a part of both I will practically be on stage for the entire show. I’m Sweating it but I’m loving it!”
