About Mela collection-
Drawing from the colors and eclectic culture of an Indian mela, the KARLEO's latest collection brings together bright colors, contrasting textures. Embroidery—the most significant part of this collection—lends dramatic volume to certain garments, as well as a fitting structure to others. The silhouettes of the ensembles take this volume contrast further, realized through a range of fabrics, including organza, charmeuse satin, and Habotai silk. The cording detailing, in neutral tones of grey and black, is highlighted with accents of bright colors, akin to the effervescence of a mela. Pops of pink, green, orange, red and blue are used in the vibrant patterns as well as subtly and seamlessly woven into the threadwork. The final touches of the Mela collection— the accessories such as bejeweled hair combs, dramatic headpieces and shoes — also reflect the inspirations through color and form.
