The Video, directed by Sanjeev Kaul can be viewed here- Innovative strategies are the talk point of the hour and the makers of Daas Dev have sprung a surprise by stepping away from the usual by releasing an inventive and fun rap video delivered by the most formidable Director-Actor duo, Sudhir Mishra and Saurabh Shukhla whose long standing association and friendship will now be enjoyed by all via this quirky narrative of Daas Dev along with it’s plot points effectively rendering Sudhir Mishra the Sutradhar (narrator).
The fun rap track has been delivered in Sudhir Mishra’s voice immediately making it a talking point with the youth. The video itself is a two minute long video which looks very stylized with the dynamic duo of Sudhir Mishra and Surabh Shukhla narrating the story in the foreground while we travel the world of Daas Dev and it’s characters in the background. Black and white with splashes of red are colour tones that the makers have opted for and Surabh Shukhla, well in the groove can be seen sporting a black and white half sleeved shirt, blood red tie, a fedora and a twinkle in his eyes.
The makers of Daas Dev are clearly thinking out of the box as they break free from the shackles of usual communication on the eve of the release of their film and dish out a whole new conversation point about the film in the most fun way!
Said Sudhir Mishra, “My friend Anshu Sharma saw the film and loved it so much that it inspired him to come up with a rap song for which Gaurav Solanki penned the Hindi lyrics. Initially, it was supposed to be shot on Saaurabh Shukhla with my voice in the background but he convinced me to feature in the video and so I will be seen in a few shots.”
Daas Dev features Rahul Bhat as Dev, Richa Chadha as Paro, Aditi Rao Hydari as Chandni(erstwhile Chandramukhi). In step with the lead cast are Saurabh Shukhla in one of the most complex roles of his career, Vipin Sharma standing shoulder to shoulder with Shukla, Dalip Tahil, Deep Raj Rana, Anil Sharma and Sohaila Kapoor. Anurag Kashyap and Vineet Singh will be seen in special appearances in the film.
Daas Dev, produced by Sanjeev Kumar of Saptarishi Cinevision and presented by Gaurav Sharma of Storm pictures is slated to release worldwide on the 20th Of April.
