Olympic silver medalist P V Sindhu graces the cover of Grazia’s latest issue

The assumption that the world of Glamour and Sports couldn't possibly merge is a myth now. Climbing on the bandwagon, the girl of the year and Silver medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics, P V Sindhu is gracing the cover of Grazia’s November issue. The first Indian woman to win a Silver medal at Olympics is making her debut appearance on a magazine cover and breathtakingly so.
This issue not only talks about PV Sindhu, but also about the inspiration and forces that keep her going. “In 2012, she won an international title,” says V Chamundeshwarnath, co-owner of the Indian Badminton League franchise Mumbai Masters. “I gifted her a car then and the media asked me, why? I told them to wait for four years. Exactly four years later, she got the Olympic medal. I know she is going to be a star shuttler.”
Commenting on her fame and success, Sindhu's proud mother says, “Everyone thinks Sindhu’s victory happened overnight. No one sees the 11 years of hard work that has led this moment."
