WHO observing antibiotic awareness week : Metropolis Healthcare

Metropolis Healthcare, a growing chain of pathology laboratories.
A growing number of infections – such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, gonorrhoea, and salmonellosis – are becoming harder to treat as the antibiotics used to treat them become less effective.
Antibiotic resistance is the ability of bacteria to resist the effects of an antibiotic – that is, the bacteria are not killed, and their growth is not stopped. Resistant bacteria survive exposure to the antibiotic and continue to multiply in the body, potentially causing more harm and spreading to other animals or people.
Antibiotic resistance is an important concern for the public health authorities at global level. Considered to be a global threat; antibiotic resistance can effect anyone at any age, any where Antibiotic resistance occurs naturally, but misuse or overuse of antibiotics is aggravating the situation.
In addition to this, WHO is also observing antibiotic awareness week until the 19th of November.
We would like to set up your interaction with the doctor in charge of Microbiology and Molecular Biology at Metropolis Healthcare Ltdto discuss the topic or share our data on the topic for creating awareness.
