All India Radio Imphal had lost one of its sincere senior announcer Shri Salam Priyokumar Singh on 17th March 2017, one year back. He was admitted to hospital on 15th March 2017 after complain of BP stroke but could not survive the severe stroke attack. Born on 1.3.1959, Shri Priyokumar was a multifaceted and a jolly nature person. He joined AIR, Imphal as announcer grade IV on 2nd June 1988 and promoted to Grade-III announcer at AIR, Imphal itself.
He has left behind three children and wife. His untimely demise has caused irreparable loss to his family, friend and AIR Imphal.
