‘HISTORY TV18’ celebrates ‘History of Football’ in the run up to the World Cup


In line with the World Cup euphoria, HISTORY TV18 is all set to celebrate the beautiful game by showcasing History of Football, as a build-up to the spectacle, from 28th May to 10th June.
The World Cup is the most widely viewed sporting event with the euphoria reaching epic proportions and billions of fans tuning in. In the run-up to the event, HISTORY TV18 dwells into the historic aspects of the game. The two-week programming will comprise of an exclusive five-part original documentary series: ‘Footballs Greatest Moments’ and ‘Head to Head’ along with multiple short programmes as episodes of ‘Football Shorts’.
The documentary, ‘Footballs Greatest Moments’ chronicles the teams and players in the recent World Cup history, whose skills and achievements transcended the sport to represent something far greater to fans and non-fans alike. It takes viewers from the field to the dressing room and beyond for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what makes the titans tick, why they’re driven to glory, and how they continue to transform the world’s greatest game. The one hour episodes of both of these shows will be aired on weekend.
On the weekdays we can witness another enthralling show ‘Head to Head’. Pitting legends like Pelé and Maradona, Ronaldo and Messi, Beckham and Bale, against each other, this show features a panel of experts, who apply the latest in science, data, and their own personal experience to even the playing field and fiercely debate and decide who the world’s greatest player truly is!
The four minute ‘short-form content’ or ‘Football Shorts’ will be aired in between the shows. They will highlight some of the most fascinating facts and unforgettable incidents of world cup history.
 “Head to Head” is slated from Monday to Friday 10 PM(29th May to 1st June) and “Football’s Greatest Moments” will be scheduled on Saturdayand Sunday (2nd and 3rd June). And for the second week “Head to Head” will be repeated from Monday to Thursday (4th June to 7th June), and the remaining episodes of “Football’s Greatest Moments” will be scheduled from Friday to Sunday (8Th to 10th June)
While the whole world prepares itself for the most awaited month of nothing but edge of the seat excitement and anticipation , to turn you into a know-it-all, or to simply take pride in the larger-than-life history of the game,  involve yourself in the ‘Greatest story ever played’ on HISTORY OF FOOTBALL premiering 28th May (24x7).
