Bid Adieu to 2016 with Vietnam

Mumbai, November 2016- New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, and this is the time of the year when all we care about is bidding farewell to the year with a bang. Well then, why not take the fun quotient up couple of notches this time? Take the plunge and head over to Vietnam, where New Year celebrations get an adrenaline shot.
Since the past two decades, Vietnam is gradually revamping itself as a party paradise. And what’s not to love? It’s affordable without compromising on comfort. It has some of the best beaches, nightlife, cuisine and culture. And the infectious energy of its local population can make even a regular street feel like a rocking party scene.  So, read on and see why bringing in the New Year, in Vietnam, is worth your time, money and consideration.
Nha Trang
Located along the most beautiful bay in the country, Nha Trang is the perfect choice for a beach party. Crystal clear ocean and white sand is as enticing as it gets. The lively locale is also known as the scuba diving center of Vietnam.
Phu Quoc
Considered to be a less cluttered alternative to Phuket, Phu Quoc is the largest island in Vietnam. The island features untouched tropical forests, coral reefs and beautiful beaches. One of its beaches, named Bai Dai (Long Beach), was even covered by the ABC News in its list of beautiful and clean beaches. When there, do not forget to sample its famous nuoc mam (best fermented fish sauce in the world).
Ha Long Bay
The top tourist attraction in Vietnam, its name literally translates to “Bay of Descending Dragons”.  Ha Long Bay has over a thousand islands strewn across its wide expanse. Each of them is topped with thick jungle vegetation, caves, lakes and limestone pillars. All these elements beautifully come together to form a seascape that steals your heart.
Hanoi
One of the most picturesque cities there is, Hanoi is often dubbed as the ‘Paris of the East’, and is an excellent amalgamation of beautiful French colonial architecture and extremely happening lounges and night clubs.
Ho Chi Minh City
The largest city in Vietnam is where your new year’s trip should culminate. People here take their new year’s celebrations very seriously. That’s why, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City sparkles with lights, decorations and millions of smiles on New Year’s Eve. Stages are set up throughout the city for live (free) entertainment including some featuring popular Vietnamese bands. The nightlife of the city truly shines on this day and the mood is always upbeat and friendly. So, welcome those endless handshakes and hugs like the New Year in a country that radiates happiness.
“Vietnam is the perfect destination to bring in the New Year”says Viren Batra, Nirvana Excursions’ co-founder. “Voted as a top party destination, it’s extremely versatile as it has everything from beautiful beaches to amazing nightclubs and innumerable unique sightseeing options, that you will be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.”
