Mumbai, 28th June 2017: 'Rehmatein' as the name suggests was initiated to offer financial aid in difficult times for yesteryear noted musicians and established artists going through a rough phase.
This charitable music concert in its first year, raised funds for the legendary composer Khayyam & artist Rajendra Mehta. In the 2nd year, over 40 insurance policies were gifted to musicians & artists in need. Noted singer & trustee Hariharan shares, "Rehmatein has made a mark for itself in last couple of years. We as artists and a member of the music fraternity consider this an honour that we can do our bit to the long lost and forgotten musicians across our country".
Now, in its 3rd year, the concert brings bollywood melodious singers on one platform first time ever together and features the melodious voices of Ankit Tiwari, Babul Supriyo & Javed Ali.with lesle lewis. Hosted by Sangeetam Charitable Trust and Ebizz Entertainment, the event will be held on 29th June 2017 at Shri Shanmukhananda Saraswati Auditorium Sion, Mumbai. Saurabh Daftary, Founder Sangeetam Trust explains, “Funds will be donated to needy artists from the music fraternity, curated by The Sangeetam Charitable Trust. This year the funds raised at the event will be given to 20 musicians through Cash and Mediclaim. Some of the established musicians are Bhoore Khan, Akbar Bhai, Prakash Khate, Devashish Bharat, Malay Chakraborty, Kalyani Mitra and many more.”
Sangeetam Charitable trust also helps in training the budding Musicians. The panel of trustees includes, Saurabh Daftary, Smita Parikh, Shri Hariharan, Shri Anup Jalota, Ankit Tiwari and Shri Javed Ali.
