Relief from unbearable pain is the wish of every individual who is suffering from severe ailments and diseases and is the wish of the people who see their loved ones suffer as well. Such is the wish of Pooja Agarwal, who is fighting against all odds in the hope to recover from a rare ailment. What started out as a minor stomach ache, progressed to being diagnosed as Transcendentalism Hernia. Due to this rare disease, Pooja had to undergo emergency surgery where 65% of her small intestine had to be removed. In her critical condition, she was shifted to Jehangir hospital under the supervision of GI specialist Dr Sachin Vaze on 27th night in emergency.
Pooja was working with Sakal media when she had to give up on her career after her blood vessel at the right side of the stomach burst out she lost almost 4 units of blood, taking a toll on her health. With a loving family and lots of caring friends, who are going out of their way to support her in during these trying times, Pooja is steadily walking on the road to recovery. The actual treatment is costing Pooja’s family appropriately 50 lakhs out of which they have managed to pay 23 lakhs, however they require additional funds for her next surgery.
In order to have the surgery at the earliest and save Pooja’s life, her family has started a fundraiser with the help of crowd funding platform ImpactGuru.com, appealing people to come out and contribute their bit to save Pooja. Till now the campaign has raised INR 2,97,504.
