MTV showcases the power of true love with Love On The Run

~Television heart-throb, Shantanu Maheshwari turns host for the show~

December 14, 2017, Mumbai: It is believed that true love has the power to transcend every kind of obstacle. But what if your own family and society is the hindrance? What if your caste, class and religion is standing against your love? Will such kind of love stories triumph over all the social evils? Saluting the power of love, MTV launches a new fiction series, Love On The Run which celebrates the paagalpanti and passion of young love that gives lovers the courage to stand by each other against all odds. Hosted by dancer turned actor Shantanu Maheshwari, this one-hour weekly fiction show will air every Sunday at 7 pm starting 17th December, 2017 only on MTV.
Inspired by real life stories, Love on the run takes you through the adventurous and borderline crazy lives of couples who are madly in love but have the social odds stab up against them. The show highlights the evil systems of our society that create hurdles for the youngsters, when it comes to who they can and can’t love. Giving viewers a perspective on young love, the host of the show Shantanu Maheshwari will question the orthodox ideologies that are still prevalent in our society.

It’s disappointing to know that such kind of evil practices are still prevalent in our country. Love On The Run is a tribute to all those lovers who had the courage to fight against society and also stood against their own family for their love. I am glad to start my stint in hosting with such a great show. This would be my first attempt in hosting and I hope that audience and my well-wishers would appreciate my work in this new endeavor.”
Love On The Run will narrate 10 inspiring and fearless stories which will break the barriers of caste, class, and religion. Each episode of Love On The Run will revolve around a couple who is deeply in love and wants to be together but is facing objection from parents, relatives or the society at large.
