1. Shri. Anil Ganu, President, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association (PTVA) - a premier educational institution established in 1921.
"The budget focuses on improving quality of teachers and increasing digital intensity in education. Introducing integrated BEd programs for teachers will be an enhanced approach towards meeting their training requirements. Digitization will enable ways that will help in improving the standard of education. We welcome these steps moving towards a better education landscape."
2. Mr. Nirvaan Birla, Head- Business Development, Birla Edutech Limited (BEL) that has a complex network of over 60 educational institutions extended across India.
"Coming from a vast legacy in the education sector, Birla Edutech is excited with our Government's vision for the sector. Improvement in terms of the quality of teachers, importance of teacher training programmes, learning based approaches and holistic education have been the driving force behind BEL for the past decade, and knowing that the government is recognising the importance of these aspects for our present; and more importantly future generations is indeed a very encouraging and positive sign for the industry as a whole. It is refreshing to see that the government is putting renewed efforts into the training of teachers in our country.
The proportion of GDP of India spent on Education has been declining for the past 3 years, and is way below the global average. It is heartening to see that the government is recognizing the need to grow this sector and converting that recognition into action. Instead of; or in addition to; increasing the Cess on education sector government should also open up and encourage more tie-ups with private organizations, with school run under PPP mode, with infrastructure of government and teacher training, skills, and investment of private edupreneurs, or various other permutations and combinations. Congratulations to our honourable PM Narendra Modi and HRD minister Prakash Javedkar on this effort for growth and development of our country and it's youth."
