SIGHTS SET ON A BETTER FUTURE FOR THE HEARING-IMPAIRED KIDS

India's overall literacy rate may have gone up to 79.4%, but there still remains been a significant gap in the ratio of illiteracy rates to the current population. These numbers not only comprise children from the rural areas of the country but also from the cities. It is not only important to send kids to school but also imperative to ensure that they are receiving proper education in the schools. Every child, every adult has the right to education irrespective of caste, class, gender or language.
Supporting and making extensive efforts towards this noble cause, Samata Pratishthan a Maharashtra based NGO is working for the rehabilitation and education of hearing impaired children in and around the region of Yeola, Maharashtra, India. The NGO runs a residential school, "Maiboli Karnabadhir Residential School" in the area, for these children. At present, the NGO is taking care of 120 such children ranging in age group from 3 years to 17 years. The organization provides educational facilities in keeping with the norms of Rehabilitation Council of India.
The organization provides the kids with the academic education along with giving them vocational training in the bid to make them independent. Currently they provide them training in carpentry for construction work, weaving of Paithani sarees, tailoring and embroidery, painting, candle making, file making, screen printing and many such self-employment skills. In addition to this, the NGO also plans to build a computer lab in order to teach more advanced skills to the children including coding, so that they can work toward receiving good jobs in the future. The organization requires a total of Rs. 5 Lakhs to set up the computer lab.
To support the initiative, the NGO has started an online fundraiser on ImpactGuru.com, where they are looking to raise about 1.5 Lakh of the total amount required. Funds are still required to reach their set target on the platform, and to ensure that the children receive an opportunity to have a brighter future, good prospects, and a better life.
Regarding the same, I would like to gauge your interest in an interaction with the NGO Samata Pratishthan and Piyush Jain CEO & CO-Founder ImpactGuru as they can share further details to the campaign.
