Mumbai, February 2nd, 2018: Whirlpool of India, a subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation, the world’s leading home appliance company, today announced strong operating results for the third quarter of 2017-18. Mr. Arvind Uppal, Chairman Whirlpool of India Limited said, “Business momentum remained strong on the back of growth in mass market products. Earnings were impacted by one time investments in future growth. We continue to remain bullish on growth going forward.”
Mr Sunil D’Souza, Managing Director Whirlpool of India Limited said, “We continued our top line momentum in the December Quarter despite a shift in festival timings. The team executed the product plans well and this quarter saw several new initiatives, including the expansion on our Vitamagic range of direct cool refrigerators, Ace XL range range of large capacity semi-automatic washers and the launch of our Freshcare range of Front Loaders. Though we saw an impact of some one timers and investments to maintain future momentum on the bottom line in the last quarter, we remain confident of delivering strong business performance going forward as we execute our strategic plans to take advantage of growing consumer demand in India’s fast growing economy.
