On 11th August 2019 AIR Kolhapur broadcast a special phone in programme for flood affected people of Kolhapur & Sangli to provide them an opportunity to air their feelings about the unprecedented floods and for their requirements, needs and problems. People in Kolhapur, Sangli and Aurangabad actively participated in the programme and put up their positive views about the undergoing relief work and praised the people who are generously helping flood affected. The most important and the thing to be proud for all of us is that they expressed gratitude to AIR Kolhapur for providing them very very important information about flood, for boasting important messages by chief minister, ministers, district administration. They also thanked AIR Kolhapur keeping them away from any kind of rumors thus giving them much relief. This phone in programme once again underlined the importance of AIR during natural calamities. When everything is in water Kolhapur & Sangli are on AIR it is a great success for public service broadcaster. Besides this district officers from both Kolhapur & Sangli approached AIR Kolhapur on line for providing valuable information to the flood affected people.
