TRADE COMMISSION OF THE ITALIAN EMBASSY INAUGURATES THE EXCLUSIVE ITALIAN PAVILION AT THE INDIA DESIGN ID 2017

Italian Trade Agency brings Triennale Musuem's Under35 - Italian Design exhibition for the first time to India
New Delhi, February 16, 2017Italy’s Ambassador to India H.E Lorenzo Angeloni and the Italian Trade Commissioner Francesco Pensabene inaugurated the grand Italian Pavilion and presented the ‘Under 35 – Italian Design’ at the India Design ID 2017 on 15th February 2017 at NSIC Grounds, Okhla, New Delhi. The evening celebrated the exhibits from the world renowned Italy’s Triennale Design Museum and the talented Italian designers.
The works from Italy’s Triennale Design Museum which will include more than 100 works of under 35 Italian designs will be open to the public starting 16th February 2017 at the India Design ID 2017 till 19th February 2017.
“Under 35. Italian Design” exhibits rich and multifaceted work which will touch upon new forms of expression; from food to web design, from fashion to textile design, from jewel design to graphic and multimedia and all the way to interior and furnituredesign.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Italian Trade Commissioner of the Embassy of Italy, Dr. Francesco Pensabene said,“India Design ID 2017 is a wonderful platform for us to showcase the diverse variety of work by talented Italian designers in India and we are delighted to be the partner country this year. Our aim is to create awareness about Italian designs and expertise in India and support Italian companies with new business avenues to enter this market.”
The evening was attended by Silvana Annicchiarico, Triennale Design Museum director, and renowned Italian Designer Raffaella Mangiarotti along with many other important VIP’s from the Design fraternity in India. Ms.RaffaellaMangiarotti, Architect and Designer specialising in the art direction, furniture and accessories will be delivering a talk on Italian craftsmanship at the exhibition, for ID Symposium on February 17, 2017.
