Makers found difficult to cast a dogs for movie Mantra.


Mantra has many major scenes involving dogs. And makers had the toughest time shooting these scenes. The independent film maker was trying to showcase the actual theme through animals and had tough time.
Although the dogs were with their trainer on set, everything that could go wrong went wrong, as dogs refused to do anything at all. The makers changed many dogs before finally found a couple of them who were okay to be on film set. 
The film Mantra revolves around the forces of globalization sweep through the post-liberalization New India, one man desperately attempts to save his once-iconic snacks brand from being wiped out by a multinational giant. Starring Kalki Koechlin, Rajat Kapoor, Shiv Pandit and Adil Hussain, directed by Nicholas Kharkongor.
Mantra has won best feature film in SAIFF, New york and was an official selection in IFFI and MAMI last year. The film is all set to hit silver screens on 17th March 2017.
