GRAND OPENING FOR THE FIRST EVER MANGROVE MARATHON AT INORBIT MALL, MALAD

~The Mangrove cell of the Forest Department of Government of Maharashtra, Inorbit mall, Malad and Greenaiders host a marathon run for preserving mangroves~
Mumbai, February, 2017: Last weekend Inorbit mall, Malad witnessed a unique marathon run called “Mangrove Matters”. It was an extended World Wet Lands Day celebration for Inorbit mall, Malad, as the entire month of February was full of awareness drives and activities on preservation of Mangroves. The Wet Lands Day Celebrations concluded last week with a marathon run, which witnessed a massive participation of 500 people from different walks of life and of different age groups. The participants pledged for the preservation of mangroves for having a pollution free environment and having a clean green society. The event was flagged off by Mr. N. Vasudevan – Head of Maharashtra Mangrove Cell. The 10km and 5km run was flagged off and ended at Inorbit mall, Malad
Inorbit mall, Malad hosted this event in association with The Mangrove cell of the Forest Department of Government of Maharashtra. The Marathon Run was called “Mangrove Matters” - an initiative and brainchild of Greenaiders- an organization that has been successfully blending Running and causes related to Environment to help create mass awareness movements and public opinion.
Commenting on the first edition of Mangrove Marathon run, Mr. Puneet Varma, Associate Vice President, Marketing, and Corporate Communication said, “We loved the spirit of people who participated in the Mangrove Marathon and supported the noble cause.
