BOLLYWOOD UNCENSORED: YEH HAI INDIA vs. CBFC

CBFC is in the news again but this time on a praiseworthy note.
Mumbai: The censor board has found itself in hot waters recently with respect to their refusal to certify certain films based on uncomfortable subjects, however the team of 'Yeh Hai India' were ecstatic when their upcoming patriotic film was passed by the board.
Lomharsh the director and writer of the film was a bit nervous due to the recent events involving the CBFC and the film fraternity, however he was pleasantly surprised when his film was not only given the green signal but was also praised for showcasing India in a positive light.
Furthermore 'Yeh Hai India' was also termed as a must-watch film with a strong message by the committee members of the board.
"It's picture to picture and if the content is good then definitely it deserves the grace provided by the CBFC team." said Pahlaj Nihalani, Chairperson of CBFC.
“It was a moment of pure joy for me to see the board react in such a positive manner, the effort and hard work put in by everyone right from day one felt worthwhile. Such appreciation is what pushes us filmmakers to create such wonderful films". said Lomharsh, the Director of YHI.
The story is vividly based on the observations made by the writer during his travel to several countries; on a wider perspective it covers the thoughts and views of other people about India.
Moreover, the director added, “YHI is a must-watch for all the Indians and NRI's, as the film challenges peoples stereotypes about India and gives them a fresh perspective of our country and its citizens. People somehow have forgotten the contribution of our motherland to the modern world, it’s time to make the world and most importantly ourselves realise the true greatness and potential of our country. I hope my film will restore the faith and trust of the Indians in India”.
'Yeh Hai India' starring Gavie Chahal, Deana Uppal, Jan Bostock, Mohan Agashe and Mohan Joshi, produced by Sandeep Choudhry under the banner of DLB production and written and directed by Lomharsh is all set to hit the theatres soon.
