EPIC’S BUDDHA PURNIMA SPECIAL The Great Escape of Dalai Lama

On the occasion of Buddha Purnima on Wednesday, 10^th May, 2017, EPIC will showcase curated programmes that celebrate Buddhism.

The center-stay of the celebration is back-to-back episodes of ‘The Great Escape’ – a hugely popular original mini-series by EPIC. Relevant to the occasion, the episodes recreate the amazing story of the thrilling escape to India of the current Dalai Lama – the spiritual guru and political leader of the Buddhists. This series also includes an exclusive interview with the Dalai Lama himself.

Also being telecast is a curated one hour slot of engrossing vignettes that explore the history and various tenets of Buddhism.
