Pabitra’s rich catalogue of 10K tracks will be made available for streaming and download across digital properties
Sony Music, global music giant, today announced a digital distribution deal for streaming and downloads with Orissa’s leading music label Pabitra Entertainment.
The vast and rich catalogue of Pabitra entertainment including their old & new movies, the famous “Jatra” content, “Sambalpuri” songs, and the devotional “shloka mantra” will now be available across all digital properties. The catalogue also consist of hit songs like “Bhala Pai Mote”, “Jia Nuhe Tu” and more.
Commenting on the association, Mr. Pabitra Nayak from Pabitra Entertainment says, “We are very excited to make our vast catalogue exclusively available to Sony Music. Their digital distribution arm will serve our Odiya content to more than hundred countries. This is the age of digital and it is important for our content to be available across the streaming services”
Adding on Hari Nair, Director - Digital Business, Sony Music Entertainment India, “Pabitra Entertainment is an aggressive content player in Odissa. Most of their tracks are commercially not exploited on the digital space. We will work closely with them and help them monetize across digital platforms”
