Music recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences and penetrates walls to touch the hearts of listeners. COLORS’ LIVE singing reality show, Rising Star 2, with its theme #UthaoSochKiDeewar encourages contestants to break barriers attached to our society and pursue their dreams. A melodious and deep sound has the power to turn a dull day into a bright one. And, lightening up everybody’s mood and lifting the Soch Ki Deewar with their harmonious voice was the ‘Harmonious Chorus’ choir, a bunch of talented kids from Bangalore.
Trained by Sandra Oberoi, the Harmony Chorus, with their co–ordinated rhythm, sang a beautiful medley of songs which also included the title song of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ originally sung by the expert Shankar Mahadevan himself. Their subtle and smooth transition from one song to another, helped the duo garner the judges’, especially Shankar Mahadevan’s, rapt attention. Monali and Shankar even belted a song in the Harmony Chorus andaaz, appreciating their talent and efforts in their own sweet way.
