Marking the Silver Jubilee year of AIR Chennai's Annual Ugadi Invited Audience programme, Former DG and Advisor, Southern Region, Sh R. Venkateswarlu; Senior Consultant, Prasar Bharati, Sh B R Chalapathi Rao; Former Director, AIR Chennai, Sh S. Venugopal Reddy; DDG Engineering AIR Chennai Sh T Rajendiran and Programme Head, AIR Chennai Sh V. Chakravarthy graced the occasion.
A grand cultural extravaganza comprising Panchanga Patanam, Kavitha Patanam, Short Story, Sankeerthana Vaibhavam and Humorous play enthralled the audience. AIR Chennai aired the event Vilambi Vinyasalu on Ugadi both on Chennai B and FM Gold. The entire 90 minute special Ugadi programme was also aired across the entire network of AIR stations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and was well received by listeners. DD Podhigai carried the event on its prime time news bulletin the same day and also aired a 15 minute capsule of the event on Ugadi.
