Iqbal Khan who plays a fun-loving Delhi Businessman in COLORS’ ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ expressed, “I’m absolutely crazy (in a good way) about my mom. She has the most beautiful heart and I really think that all that I am today is only because of her prayers and blessings. Whenever I’m facing a problem, talking to her sorts everything out. And most of all, it’s her humility that inspires me. I share a very unique bond with her which I’m trying to also bring on-screen with Abha-ji. I’ve known Abha-ji for a long time now and she too is just like my mother”.
Jasmine Bhasin who plays Teni’s character in Dil se Dil Tak said, “For the past few years, I have been staying away from family and I miss my mom immensely. But I do have a Mother’s Day ritual, every year I send her a card with a hand-written note. I have a distinctive memory of her when I was in the 11th standard, I had to make a critical decision which was - whether I should take up acting as my full-time career or not? My mother guided me and here I am today. She has always been the pillar of my strength and no matter what she will always be”.
Sharad aka Rishi in the show ‘Kasam…. Tere Pyaar Ki’ exclaims, “ On Mother’s Day - I will be wishing her at midnight, will also send flowers and arrange a surprise gift like every year. I wish to surprise her by pampering her all day long with her favourite cuisine followed by a spa, movie and some shopping. I remember buying her a wall art with my very first pay cheque that I got from my first print ad in the year 2000.”
Sai Deodhar playing Chakor’s mom in the show Udaan says, “After being a mom myself I’ve realized the importance of my mother. She has managed to get me out of so many troublesome situations when I was young. I remember an incident that happened in the fifth standard, I panicked before my final exams and couldn’t remember anything that I had learnt, she sat with me all night to just help me prepare well and ease me from my nervousness. She has always been my savior”.
Sehban Azim aka Yash in Bepannaah expressed, “I have more than a 1000 tales that I can remember of my childhood where my mother came to my rescue and fixed everything for me like a superhero and that is still the case. No matter what the situation is, whether I’m sad, upset, depressed, my mother would know how to get me out of it without having to utter even a word. It's some kind-of bond where somehow, she gets to know about all my troubles, she feels it too. Now, this is one superpower every mother possesses and there's no scientific explanation to it.”
Rubina Dilaik playing Saumya in Shakti….Astitva ke Ehsaas Ki says, “Mother’s day for me is day that needs to be celebrated every day. Had it not been for our mothers we would have never been here. All my memories with my mother have been special. Even the time she rebuked or taught me things the hard way. Now when I look back I miss those days. Even for the silliest of mistakes she would correct me and now I realize why! Everything that I am today, I owe it to her. The only thing I wish for, is great health for her because that will keep her happy, lively and she will be able to enjoy her life.”
