SHRI H.GOPALAKRISHNAN, DEPUTY DIRECTOR (ENGINEERING), All India Radio, Coimbatore, (Tamil Nadu), retired from service on 31st December 2016 after putting 38¼ Years service at various AIR Stations. Initially he joined as Engineering Assistant at AIR,Hyderabad on 31st August 1978. There after he had chanced to work HPT, Avadi, O/o CE(SZ), Chennai, AIR, Guwahati, Coimbatore, Kodaikanal, Tiruchirappalli. Lastly he has been worked as Deputy Director(Engineering) at AIR, Coimbatore since 20.12.2010.
During the service with AIR Organisations, he had carried out the following project works:-
1. Installation of 1KW Harris Transmitter at AIR,Adilabad
2. Installation of 4x500 KW SW Transmitter at Bangalore
In recognition of his valuable contribution to the Department, he was honoured with
- Best Installation of 4x5KW Project in 1996,
- Best Innovative work for Antenna Interlocking system in 1996,
- Best maintatenance Station Awarded for AIR Coimbatore in 2004.
He studied Sandwich course at Murugappa Chettiar Memorial Polytechnic, Avadi, Chennai. He secured FIRST RANK in the Licentiate In Electrical Engineering Course during the year 1974-1976.
After joining in the Department, he was qualified for A.M.I.E.E. in the FIRST ATTEMPT and he was the FIRST RANK HOLDER in the year 1983 batch.
He is committed, dedicated and pleasing personality. He has flair for innovative idea and willing to translate this into action. He used to strain every efforts to motivate his subordinate to reach the goal envisioned by him. His higher officers are having high regard for his propelling spirit, commitment towards the work and task assigned to him.
Let ALMIGHTY give him enough strength and health in his light in the days to come.
